Congrats to DLIVE on his first Knockout

FatFingers RocBattle Verified Honest Voter: consistent, fair votes across the arena Staff 1 week ago · 81 views
Congratulations to @DLIVE on being the first person to receive the Knockout badge. It's now posted on his profile. Go check it out to see what this achievement looks like.

Here's why. After losing to DLIVE, Tripl3C sent me this:

"Yeah, bro, I quit. Isn't no way I should have lost to DLive in that trap genre battle; his beat wasn't trap; that was more drill, with a whole bunch of sounds thrown in there. This is a popularity contest, and if you're not cool with a lot of the producers here, you're not gonna win..."

This is a battle site. If you're going to leave, leave quietly. When someone makes a stink over a result and walks, the person who beat him gets the Knockout, which results in a Knockout achievement. And you get a badge.

Now, I have a different opinion than Tripl3C. Both beats were entered as Trap, and I think the result was fair. But I'm not going to just tell you that. That's what this battle room is for. I'm putting it in front of the community so you can decide.

Listen to "No Statement" and "DEEP COVER" right here. Was DLIVE's beat really drill? Did the right beat win?

The Knockout badge can be given for several reasons. DLIVE is the first, and he won't be the last.

Comment below and tell me what you think.

Hmm.. Good battle.. I think at first listen. People will feel-say DJ D. Because it feels/sound familiar. But Tripl shit is talking heavy. It's right in your face. The right lyrics-artist will bring it fully to life.. Trip

It's not a drill beat at all; I don't even hear no drill elements in his beat. I actually voted for that beat becuase I felt it was more creative, etc. It's not popularity for me becuase I don't even know people on here like that, and I give my honest vote. πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―

@jokeyent I agree becuase I started off battling on AudeoBox; that's where I learned how to have tough skin when it comes to this battling. And, as they say, this battle stuff prepares you for the real world of music and how to deal with criticism constructively by not taking it personally. Becuase in the real world you going to get the same thing as if you battling another producer etc. So Im glad I spent 2 years learning this battling stuff, and it still is. So everybody ain't going to have tough skin and know how to discern an opinion from an objective fact and take it with a grain of salt and learn from it.

From what I know as trap dlive beat wasn't trap BUT it was harder...its interesting its dynamic is in battle mode. But matching the genre should matter or else just make a no genre category that way a battle can get judged on the mac/preference alone.

The other beat is a traditional trap song beat without lyrics.

HERES A QUESTION, FOR EVERYONE ,,,? IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BATTLE BEAT AND A REGULAR/PLACEMENT BEAT ?

AND YES IVE HEARD PLACEMENT BEATS THAT WENT HARD IN BATTLES...HOWEVER THEY STILL HAVE DEFINED ELEMENTS.

I dunno about anyone else but I literally stick to the 3 criteria... its cut and dry too me. I gave it to DJ based on that. With that being said I wouldn't be bumping that shit. I'd be bumping Trips shit. Criteria don't say which joint I like more or vote for the style you like...wtf do I know though

@Akaiza.Zezray i domt usually make battle beats. I make Beats that I feel are good for battle.. but the placement is always first.. so i always do my beats in song structure and push for placements. if they win battles thats a plus... I have 3 placements this year and i battled 2 of those beats...so if it works then it works..

One did Trap rap, and other did EDM Trap. That's nearly totally different. EDM Trap is going to sound more impressive to producers because that genre is only beats. Trap Rap which is where Trap came from anyway is going to be styled for rapping, and won't have as many change ups, drops, fills, switch ups etc. So if we are talking about Rap Triple C's beat was more in the lane, but if its broadly just trap, and that's including EDM Trap, then the other guy clearly won because he put more time into his beat with all the EDM drops, fills, change ups, chops, 808s flowing into a dubstep style wobble bass. That is extremely technical, but I feel like this battle was totally unbalanced. If it were to judge it on if it was a better Trap beat for rapping, then Triple C would have won that.
