INTRODUCING PURGATORY — A NEW ROCBATTLE FEATURE!
Less than a week ago, we introduced our new Battle Review System, which allows producers who feel a battle was judged unfairly to bring it to the forum for further discussion and review, even after the battle has officially closed.
Now we're taking things one step further with a new feature called PURGATORY!
So, how does Purgatory work?
When a closed battle receives a review request and there's a very close outcome or enough controversy surrounding the results, ROCBATTLE staff may decide to move that battle into Purgatory, provided Rockwilder hasn't already voted on it.
Once a battle enters Purgatory, it will be reopened for Rockwilder, The Commissioner, and ONLY Rockwilder, to personally review both beats, break down the production, and make the final judgment.
Here's what makes Purgatory different: Rockwilder's decision overrides the existing voting system. Whether he agrees with the original outcome or decides to overturn it, his ruling stands as the FINAL decision. No additional votes or reviews can change it.
Now, understand that not every battle will qualify for Purgatory. There must be a legitimate reason, a close battle, or enough controversy to warrant that level of review. Staff will determine which battles qualify.
This is another feature we're introducing to help bring more fairness, accountability, and transparency to the ROCBATTLE battle system.
PURGATORY IS COMING SOON!
When the votes can't settle it, The Commissioner will!
